National HBCU Voting Summit 2020
September 10-11, 2020
This November, Americans will experience one of the most critical elections of our lifetime. Even though Millennials and Gen Zers make up one of the largest voting-eligible groups in the country, students鈥攅specially Black students鈥攁re up against some of the most egregious voter suppression tactics aided by systemic racism and the COVID-19 pandemic.
That鈥檚 why on September 10 and 11, The Andrew Goodman Foundation鈥攊n partnership with Fair Election Center鈥檚 Campus Vote Project and Students Learn Students Vote Coalition鈥攚ill convene the first-ever National HBCU Voting Summit. Hosted by Alabama A&M University, this virtual conference will bring together HBCUs from around the country to prepare students to vote in 2020 and beyond.

Back to Top - ABOUTAGF's mission is to make young voices and votes a powerful force in democracy by training the next generation of leaders, engaging young voters, and challenging restrictive voter suppression laws. The organization is named after Andrew Goodman, a 20-year-old college student and Freedom Summer volunteer who was murdered by the KKK in 1964 along with James Chaney and Michael Schwerner while registering Black Americans to vote in Mississippi.Back to Top
